Al-Qari'ah · 101:5

In context

1. مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

   101:2What is the Striking Calamity

2. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

   101:3And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity

3. يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ

   101:4It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

4. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

   101:5And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up

5. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

   101:6Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]

6. فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

   101:7He will be in a pleasant life

7. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

   101:8But as for one whose scales are light
