Al-Qari'ah · 101:6

In context

1. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

   101:3And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity

2. يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ

   101:4It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

3. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

   101:5And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up

4. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

   101:6Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]

5. فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

   101:7He will be in a pleasant life

6. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

   101:8But as for one whose scales are light

7. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ

   101:9His refuge will be an abyss
