Al-Hijr · 15:61

In context

1. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

   15:58They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

2. إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

   15:59Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all

3. إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

   15:60Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind

4. فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

   15:61And when the messengers came to the family of Lot

5. قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ

   15:62He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown

6. قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ

   15:63They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing

7. وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

   15:64And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful
