In context

1. وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعٞ مُّصۡبِحِينَ

   15:66And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning

2. وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ

   15:67And the people of the city came rejoicing

3. قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ

   15:68[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me

4. وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ

   15:69And fear Allah and do not disgrace me

5. قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   15:70They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people

6. قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ

   15:71[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]

7. لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ

   15:72By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly
