Al-Hijr · 15:78

In context

1. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ

   15:75Indeed in that are signs for those who discern

2. وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ

   15:76And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road

3. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

   15:77Indeed in that is a sign for the believers

4. وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ

   15:78And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers

5. فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ

   15:79So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway

6. وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

   15:80And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers

7. وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ

   15:81And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away
