Al-Hijr · 15:84

In context

1. وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ

   15:81And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away

2. وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ

   15:82And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure

3. فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ

   15:83But the shriek seized them at early morning

4. فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

   15:84So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn

5. وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ

   15:85And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness

6. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

   15:86Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator

7. وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ

   15:87And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an
