Al-Mu'minun · 23:105

In context

1. فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

   23:102And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful

2. وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ

   23:103But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally

3. تَلۡفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا كَٰلِحُونَ

   23:104The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles

4. أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَايَٰتِي تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

   23:105[It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them

5. قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتۡ عَلَيۡنَا شِقۡوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوۡمٗا ضَآلِّينَ

   23:106They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray

6. رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡهَا فَإِنۡ عُدۡنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ

   23:107Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers

7. قَالَ ٱخۡسَـُٔواْ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ

   23:108He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me
