Al-Mu'minun · 23:106

In context

1. وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ

   23:103But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally

2. تَلۡفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا كَٰلِحُونَ

   23:104The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles

3. أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَايَٰتِي تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

   23:105[It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them

4. قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتۡ عَلَيۡنَا شِقۡوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوۡمٗا ضَآلِّينَ

   23:106They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray

5. رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡهَا فَإِنۡ عُدۡنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ

   23:107Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers

6. قَالَ ٱخۡسَـُٔواْ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ

   23:108He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me

7. إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّـٰحِمِينَ

   23:109Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful
