Ash-Shu'ara · 26:112

In context

1. وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   26:109And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

2. فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

   26:110So fear Allah and obey me

3. ۞قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ

   26:111They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]

4. قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِي بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

   26:112He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do

5. إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّيۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ

   26:113Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive

6. وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

   26:114And I am not one to drive away the believers

7. إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ

   26:115I am only a clear warner
