Ash-Shu'ara · 26:161

In context

1. فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

   26:158And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

2. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

   26:159And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

3. كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

   26:160The people of Lot denied the messengers

4. إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

   26:161When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

5. إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ

   26:162Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

6. فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

   26:163So fear Allah and obey me

7. وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   26:164And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
