Ash-Shu'ara · 26:169

In context

1. وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ

   26:166And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing

2. قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ

   26:167They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted

3. قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِينَ

   26:168He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]

4. رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهۡلِي مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُونَ

   26:169My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do

5. فَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ

   26:170So We saved him and his family, all

6. إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

   26:171Except an old woman among those who remained behind

7. ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

   26:172Then We destroyed the others
