Ash-Shu'ara · 26:190

In context

1. فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

   26:187So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful

2. قَالَ رَبِّيٓ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ

   26:188He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do

3. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ

   26:189And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day

4. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

   26:190Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

5. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

   26:191And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

6. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   26:192And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds

7. نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِينُ

   26:193The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down
