In context

1. فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

   26:199And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it

2. كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَٰهُ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

   26:200Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals

3. لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

   26:201They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment

4. فَيَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةٗ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

   26:202And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not

5. فَيَقُولُواْ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ

   26:203And they will say, "May we be reprieved

6. أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

   26:204So for Our punishment are they impatient

7. أَفَرَءَيۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ سِنِينَ

   26:205Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years
