Ash-Shu'ara · 26:203

In context

1. كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَٰهُ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

   26:200Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals

2. لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

   26:201They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment

3. فَيَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةٗ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

   26:202And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not

4. فَيَقُولُواْ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ

   26:203And they will say, "May we be reprieved

5. أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

   26:204So for Our punishment are they impatient

6. أَفَرَءَيۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ سِنِينَ

   26:205Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

7. ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ

   26:206And then there came to them that which they were promised
