Ash-Shu'ara · 26:70

In context

1. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

   26:67Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

2. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

   26:68And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

3. وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

   26:69And recite to them the news of Abraham

4. إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

   26:70When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship

5. قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامٗا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ

   26:71They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted

6. قَالَ هَلۡ يَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ

   26:72He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate

7. أَوۡ يَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَضُرُّونَ

   26:73Or do they benefit you, or do they harm
