In context

1. قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامٗا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ

   26:71They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted

2. قَالَ هَلۡ يَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ

   26:72He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate

3. أَوۡ يَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَضُرُّونَ

   26:73Or do they benefit you, or do they harm

4. قَالُواْ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُونَ

   26:74They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus

5. قَالَ أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ

   26:75He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping

6. أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ

   26:76You and your ancient forefathers

7. فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوّٞ لِّيٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   26:77Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds
