An-Naml · 27:70

In context

1. وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبٗا وَءَابَآؤُنَآ أَئِنَّا لَمُخۡرَجُونَ

   27:67And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]

2. لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا هَٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

   27:68We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples

3. قُلۡ سِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

   27:69Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals

4. وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُن فِي ضَيۡقٖ مِّمَّا يَمۡكُرُونَ

   27:70And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire

5. وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

   27:71And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful

6. قُلۡ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

   27:72Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient

7. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ

   27:73And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude
