Ya-Sin · 36:6

In context

1. إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

   36:3Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers

2. عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

   36:4On a straight path

3. تَنزِيلَ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   36:5[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

4. لِتُنذِرَ قَوۡمٗا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ غَٰفِلُونَ

   36:6That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware

5. لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

   36:7Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe

6. إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا فِيٓ أَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡ أَغۡلَٰلٗا فَهِيَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَذۡقَانِ فَهُم مُّقۡمَحُونَ

   36:8Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft

7. وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۢ بَيۡنِ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ سَدّٗا وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ سَدّٗا فَأَغۡشَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُبۡصِرُونَ

   36:9And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see
