As-Saffat · 37:105

In context

1. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعۡيَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡمَنَامِ أَنِّيٓ أَذۡبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرَىٰۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُۖ سَتَجِدُنِيٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

   37:102And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast

2. فَلَمَّآ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِينِ

   37:103And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead

3. وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ

   37:104We called to him, "O Abraham

4. قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ ٱلرُّءۡيَآۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

   37:105You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

5. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡبَلَـٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

   37:106Indeed, this was the clear trial

6. وَفَدَيۡنَٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِيمٖ

   37:107And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice

7. وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

   37:108And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations
