As-Saffat · 37:161

In context

1. وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ

   37:158And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]

2. سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

   37:159Exalted is Allah above what they describe

3. إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

   37:160Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]

4. فَإِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

   37:161So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship

5. مَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ

   37:162You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him

6. إِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

   37:163Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire

7. وَمَامِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ

   37:164[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position
