As-Saffat · 37:166

In context

1. إِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

   37:163Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire

2. وَمَامِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ

   37:164[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position

3. وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ

   37:165And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]

4. وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحُونَ

   37:166And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah

5. وَإِن كَانُواْ لَيَقُولُونَ

   37:167And indeed, the disbelievers used to say

6. لَوۡ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكۡرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

   37:168If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples

7. لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

   37:169We would have been the chosen servants of Allah
