As-Saffat · 37:17

In context

1. وَإِذَا رَأَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يَسۡتَسۡخِرُونَ

   37:14And when they see a sign, they ridicule

2. وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٌ

   37:15And say, "This is not but obvious magic

3. أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ

   37:16When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

4. أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ

   37:17And our forefathers [as well]

5. قُلۡ نَعَمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ دَٰخِرُونَ

   37:18Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible

6. فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَإِذَا هُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ

   37:19It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing

7. وَقَالُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

   37:20They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense
