As-Saffat · 37:27

In context

1. وَقِفُوهُمۡۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسۡـُٔولُونَ

   37:24And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned

2. مَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ

   37:25[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other

3. بَلۡ هُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَ

   37:26But they, that Day, are in surrender

4. وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

   37:27And they will approach one another blaming each other

5. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ

   37:28They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right

6. قَالُواْ بَل لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

   37:29The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers

7. وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭۖ بَلۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا طَٰغِينَ

   37:30And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people
