As-Saffat · 37:30

In context

1. وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

   37:27And they will approach one another blaming each other

2. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ

   37:28They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right

3. قَالُواْ بَل لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

   37:29The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers

4. وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭۖ بَلۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا طَٰغِينَ

   37:30And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people

5. فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ

   37:31So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]

6. فَأَغۡوَيۡنَٰكُمۡ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ

   37:32And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators

7. فَإِنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُونَ

   37:33So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment
