As-Saffat · 37:58

In context

1. فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِي سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

   37:55And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire

2. قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرۡدِينِ

   37:56He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me

3. وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ

   37:57If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]

4. أَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ

   37:58Then, are we not to die

5. إِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

   37:59Except for our first death, and we will not be punished

6. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

   37:60Indeed, this is the great attainment

7. لِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ ٱلۡعَٰمِلُونَ

   37:61For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work
