Ad-Dukhan · 44:40

In context

1. أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ

   44:37Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals

2. وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

   44:38And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play

3. مَا خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

   44:39We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know

4. إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

   44:40Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all

5. يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي مَوۡلًى عَن مَّوۡلٗى شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ

   44:41The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped

6. إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

   44:42Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

7. إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ

   44:43Indeed, the tree of zaqqum
