Adh-Dhariyat · 51:30

In context

1. فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ

   51:27And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat

2. فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ

   51:28And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy

3. فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞ

   51:29And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman

4. قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

   51:30They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing

5. ۞قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

   51:31[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

6. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

   51:32They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

7. لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ

   51:33To send down upon them stones of clay
