Adh-Dhariyat · 51:34

In context

1. ۞قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

   51:31[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

2. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

   51:32They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

3. لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ

   51:33To send down upon them stones of clay

4. مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

   51:34Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors

5. فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

   51:35So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers

6. فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

   51:36And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims

7. وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

   51:37And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment
