Adh-Dhariyat · 51:35

In context

1. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

   51:32They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

2. لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ

   51:33To send down upon them stones of clay

3. مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

   51:34Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors

4. فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

   51:35So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers

5. فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

   51:36And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims

6. وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

   51:37And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment

7. وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ

   51:38And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority
