An-Najm · 53:8

In context

1. عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡقُوَىٰ

   53:5Taught to him by one intense in strength

2. ذُو مِرَّةٖ فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ

   53:6One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form

3. وَهُوَ بِٱلۡأُفُقِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

   53:7While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon

4. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

   53:8Then he approached and descended

5. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

   53:9And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer

6. فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦ مَآ أَوۡحَىٰ

   53:10And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed

7. مَا كَذَبَ ٱلۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ

   53:11The heart did not lie [about] what it saw
