An-Najm · 53:9

In context

1. ذُو مِرَّةٖ فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ

   53:6One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form

2. وَهُوَ بِٱلۡأُفُقِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

   53:7While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon

3. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

   53:8Then he approached and descended

4. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

   53:9And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer

5. فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦ مَآ أَوۡحَىٰ

   53:10And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed

6. مَا كَذَبَ ٱلۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ

   53:11The heart did not lie [about] what it saw

7. أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ

   53:12So will you dispute with him over what he saw
