Al-Qamar · 54:11

In context

1. مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ

   54:8Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day

2. ۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ

   54:9The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled

3. فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ

   54:10So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help

4. فَفَتَحۡنَآ أَبۡوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنۡهَمِرٖ

   54:11Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down

5. وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُيُونٗا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرٖ قَدۡ قُدِرَ

   54:12And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined

6. وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ

   54:13And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails

7. تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ

   54:14Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied
