Al-Qamar · 54:16

In context

1. وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ

   54:13And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails

2. تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ

   54:14Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied

3. وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ

   54:15And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember

4. فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:16And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

5. وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ

   54:17And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

6. كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:18Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning

7. إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ

   54:19Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune
