In context

1. فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:16And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

2. وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ

   54:17And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

3. كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:18Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning

4. إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ

   54:19Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune

5. تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ

   54:20Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted

6. فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:21And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

7. وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ

   54:22And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
