Al-Qamar · 54:29

In context

1. سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ

   54:26They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar

2. إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ

   54:27Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient

3. وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ

   54:28And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]

4. فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ

   54:29But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]

5. فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

   54:30And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

6. إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ

   54:31Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen

7. وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ

   54:32And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember
