Al-Qamar · 54:47

In context

1. أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ

   54:44Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]

2. سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ

   54:45[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]

3. بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ

   54:46But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter

4. إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ

   54:47Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness

5. يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ

   54:48The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar

6. إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ

   54:49Indeed, all things We created with predestination

7. وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۭ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ

   54:50And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye
