Al-Qamar · 54:7

In context

1. وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ

   54:4And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence

2. حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغۡنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ

   54:5Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]

3. فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ نُّكُرٍ

   54:6So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding

4. خُشَّعًا أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ

   54:7Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading

5. مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ

   54:8Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day

6. ۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ

   54:9The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled

7. فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ

   54:10So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help
