Al-Waqi'ah · 56:51

In context

1. أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ

   56:48And our forefathers [as well]

2. قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

   56:49Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

3. لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ

   56:50Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day

4. ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ

   56:51Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers

5. لَأٓكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٖ مِّن زَقُّومٖ

   56:52Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

6. فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ

   56:53And filling with it your bellies

7. فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ

   56:54And drinking on top of it from scalding water
