Al-Waqi'ah · 56:65

In context

1. وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

   56:62And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember

2. أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ

   56:63And have you seen that [seed] which you sow

3. ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّـٰرِعُونَ

   56:64Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower

4. لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ

   56:65If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder

5. إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ

   56:66[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt

6. بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ

   56:67Rather, we have been deprived

7. أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱلَّذِي تَشۡرَبُونَ

   56:68And have you seen the water that you drink
