Al-Waqi'ah · 56:68

In context

1. لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ

   56:65If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder

2. إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ

   56:66[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt

3. بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ

   56:67Rather, we have been deprived

4. أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱلَّذِي تَشۡرَبُونَ

   56:68And have you seen the water that you drink

5. ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ

   56:69Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down

6. لَوۡ نَشَآءُ جَعَلۡنَٰهُ أُجَاجٗا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ

   56:70If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful

7. أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِي تُورُونَ

   56:71And have you seen the fire that you ignite
