Al-Haqqah · 69:27

In context

1. كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَآ أَسۡلَفۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَيَّامِ ٱلۡخَالِيَةِ

   69:24[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past

2. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ

   69:25But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

3. وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهۡ

   69:26And had not known what is my account

4. يَٰلَيۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِيَةَ

   69:27I wish my death had been the decisive one

5. مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهۡۜ

   69:28My wealth has not availed me

6. هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلۡطَٰنِيَهۡ

   69:29Gone from me is my authority

7. خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ

   69:30[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him
