Al-Haqqah · 69:28

In context

1. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ

   69:25But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

2. وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهۡ

   69:26And had not known what is my account

3. يَٰلَيۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِيَةَ

   69:27I wish my death had been the decisive one

4. مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهۡۜ

   69:28My wealth has not availed me

5. هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلۡطَٰنِيَهۡ

   69:29Gone from me is my authority

6. خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ

   69:30[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him

7. ثُمَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ

   69:31Then into Hellfire drive him
