Al-Ma'arij · 70:20

In context

1. تَدۡعُواْ مَنۡ أَدۡبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

   70:17It invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience]

2. وَجَمَعَ فَأَوۡعَىٰٓ

   70:18And collected [wealth] and hoarded

3. ۞إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا

   70:19Indeed, mankind was created anxious

4. إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعٗا

   70:20When evil touches him, impatient

5. وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوعًا

   70:21And when good touches him, withholding [of it]

6. إِلَّا ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ

   70:22Except the observers of prayer

7. ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآئِمُونَ

   70:23Those who are constant in their prayer
