Al-Ma'arij · 70:7

In context

1. تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ

   70:4The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years

2. فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا

   70:5So be patient with gracious patience

3. إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا

   70:6Indeed, they see it [as] distant

4. وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا

   70:7But We see it [as] near

5. يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ

   70:8On the Day the sky will be like murky oil

6. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ

   70:9And the mountains will be like wool

7. وَلَا يَسۡـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا

   70:10And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend
