Al-Ma'arij · 70:8

In context

1. فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا

   70:5So be patient with gracious patience

2. إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا

   70:6Indeed, they see it [as] distant

3. وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا

   70:7But We see it [as] near

4. يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ

   70:8On the Day the sky will be like murky oil

5. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ

   70:9And the mountains will be like wool

6. وَلَا يَسۡـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا

   70:10And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend

7. يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ

   70:11They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children
