Nuh · 71:18

In context

1. أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡاْ كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗا

   71:15Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers

2. وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجٗا

   71:16And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp

3. وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ نَبَاتٗا

   71:17And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth

4. ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمۡ فِيهَا وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ إِخۡرَاجٗا

   71:18Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction

5. وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطٗا

   71:19And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse

6. لِّتَسۡلُكُواْ مِنۡهَا سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗا

   71:20That you may follow therein roads of passage

7. قَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارٗا

   71:21Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss
