In context

1. وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطٗا

   71:19And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse

2. لِّتَسۡلُكُواْ مِنۡهَا سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗا

   71:20That you may follow therein roads of passage

3. قَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارٗا

   71:21Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss

4. وَمَكَرُواْ مَكۡرٗا كُبَّارٗا

   71:22And they conspired an immense conspiracy

5. وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدّٗا وَلَا سُوَاعٗا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرٗا

   71:23And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr

6. وَقَدۡ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلٗا

   71:24And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error

7. مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُواْ فَأُدۡخِلُواْ نَارٗا فَلَمۡ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارٗا

   71:25Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers
