Al-Muddaththir · 74:49

In context

1. وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

   74:46And we used to deny the Day of Recompense

2. حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلۡيَقِينُ

   74:47Until there came to us the certainty

3. فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمۡ شَفَٰعَةُ ٱلشَّـٰفِعِينَ

   74:48So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors

4. فَمَا لَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِ مُعۡرِضِينَ

   74:49Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away

5. كَأَنَّهُمۡ حُمُرٞ مُّسۡتَنفِرَةٞ

   74:50As if they were alarmed donkeys

6. فَرَّتۡ مِن قَسۡوَرَةِۭ

   74:51Fleeing from a lion

7. بَلۡ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُؤۡتَىٰ صُحُفٗا مُّنَشَّرَةٗ

   74:52Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about
