Al-Qiyamah · 75:5

In context

1. وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ

   75:2And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]

2. أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ

   75:3Does man think that We will not assemble his bones

3. بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ

   75:4Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips

4. بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ

   75:5But man desires to continue in sin

5. يَسۡـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

   75:6He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection

6. فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ

   75:7So when vision is dazzled

7. وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ

   75:8And the moon darkens
