An-Naba · 78:12

In context

1. وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتٗا

   78:9And made your sleep [a means for] rest

2. وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗا

   78:10And made the night as clothing

3. وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشٗا

   78:11And made the day for livelihood

4. وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعٗا شِدَادٗا

   78:12And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

5. وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجٗا وَهَّاجٗا

   78:13And made [therein] a burning lamp

6. وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءٗ ثَجَّاجٗا

   78:14And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

7. لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبّٗا وَنَبَاتٗا

   78:15That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
